Our old king mattress in our beach rental condo wasn’t cutting it. It was bouncy and telegraphed every movement, while not really supporting us. We had bought it in a hurry after we bought the condo, just so we could say we had a king bed. After much debate and visits to mattress stores and department stores, we decided to get a Costco Kirkland Signature Stearns and Foster Hope Bay pillowtop cushion firm mattress.
I had a heck of a time finding reviews of this mattress anywhere other than on Costco, so I wanted to review this for the internet.
I also posted this review on Costco’s website.
If you have a Stearns and Foster mattress in cushion firm and like it, go ahead and order this set. You will already know what you’re getting into with this mattress. We have a S+F mattress already from a department store, and taking the chance on this mattress worked out well. We would buy it again.
I’ve slept on it for a week so far, and it’s been great. It has a pillowtop that is cushy, but it is still firmly supportive beneath that. It is a big and heavy mattress. That gives it more stability, but also means you’ll need deep pocket sheets and makes it more difficult to make up.
I wish Costco had the option for 5 inch low profile box springs as this is a very tall mattress and my short wife said it takes some time getting used to getting into bed.
Shipping was much quicker than expected. The map showed us in the 13-14 business day area, but I got a call from the shipping company 7-8 days after I placed the order for delivery the next day.. I was out of town for work, but the shipping company was able to hold it for a week until I got home.
